Itinerary
Mont Blanc via Gouter Route

Day 1Ljubljana – Chamonix

  • Drive from Ljubljana to Chamonix/Les Houches (France).
  • Check-in at mountain lodge (gîte).
  • Evening briefing and gear preparation.

Day 2Chamonix – Tete Rousse / Gouter Hut

  • Start in Les Houches, near Chamonix.
  • Cable car + cogwheel train to Nid d’Aigle (2,372m).
  • 3-hour hike to Tete Rousse Hut (3,167m).
  • 3-hour climb via Grand Couloir (most dangerous section) to Gouter Hut (3,835m).
  • Alternative option: Overnight at Tete Rousse Hut and continue the climb the next day.

Day 3Summit Day: Gouter Hut – Mont Blanc – Chamonix

  • 2:00 AM wake-up and breakfast.
  • 5-hour ascent via Vallot Hut (4,362m) to Mont Blanc summit (4,810m).
  • Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Alps.
  • 3-hour descent back to Gouter Hut, then another 4-hour descent to Nid d’Aigle.
  • Return to Chamonix/Les Houches and overnight in a gîte.

Day 4Chamonix – Ljubljana

  • Morning stroll in Chamonix, last chance to explore the alpine town.
  • Return drive to Slovenia, arriving in the evening.
