This remote corner of Patagonia is an extraordinary destination for ski touring, where rugged granite peaks, glacial valleys, and alpine lakes create a dramatic backdrop. The region’s pristine landscapes and wild atmosphere attract adventurous ski tourers from around the world.
Each day you’ll step out from the comfort of cozy mountain refuges into a world where ski touring blends seamlessly with untouched backcountry terrain, thrilling descents, and authentic Patagonian mountain culture. Spring snow and stable conditions provide excellent skiing, while hut-to-hut travel minimizes transfers and maximizes time on the slopes.
Our start point will be in Bariloche, and from there we will explore the Patagonian Andes, including iconic mountain shelters Refugio Frey, Jakob, and López. Ski days combine wide alpine bowls, glacier-fed valleys, and challenging ridges with breathtaking views and unforgettable backcountry experiences.
